December 7, 1938– March 29, 2024
Peacefully at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Friday March 29, 2024, Ola Elaine Vaughan of Langton area passed away at 85 years of age. Predeceased by her loving husband Ray (2010), daughter-in-law Wilma (2015). Cherished mother to Kelvin Vaughan and his wife Karen, Raymond Vaughan and his common-law partner Anne and Tammy Higgins and her husband John. Wonderful grandmother to 5 grandsons and 10 great grandchildren. Sister-in-law to Irene Savage. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Elaine will be missed by her family and friends Dwayne and Roseann Ketchabaw and Darlene and John Deckers. Elaine’s fur baby “Boots” the cat will miss her company.
She appreciated her time with family and friends, spending time with Boots her cat, word searches and enjoyed her time at the Port Burwell Legion playing cards. She was a member of the Langton Merry Melody Makers for many years.
Elaine is also predeceased by her parents, Allen (1955) and Beatrice McDonald (1981), step-father Len Reid (1990) and brother Bruce McDonald (1999).
The family would like to thank the staff at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, Care Partners, Closing the Gap, Multi Service Centre and Absolute Respiratory. Your care and compassion will not be forgotten.
Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Thursday April 4, 2024 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. The Funeral will be held at Ostrander’s Funeral Home at 12:00 pm immediately following the visitation. Interment will be held at Tillsonburg Cemetery. Doris VanDenEeckhout to officiate. Memorial donations to the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice can be done either directly with the Hospital or (payable by cheque to the Hospital) by mailing to Ostrander’s Funeral Home.
