Szeman, Nicholas (March 6, 1941 – January 9, 2024)
Nicholas (Nick) Szeman passed away, peacefully, at the West Haldimand General Hospital, Hagersville, on January 9th, 2024, in his 83rd year. Nick was predeceased by his parents Gabriel and Helen (Czeranko) Szeman. Nick is survived by his uncle John (wife Ruth) Czeranko, his good friend Dina Hrubant, and his friends Albert De Backere and Richard Van Severen. Nick was very appreciative of all the help he received from neighbours Duane (Laura) Barnim and from Paul and Jeanette Geysens over the years. Nick was a member of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Langton. Nick lived on the 7th concession, in Walsingham and he will be remembered as a longtime tobacco and general farmer and for his passion for horses.
Friends, neighbours and relatives are invited to attend public visitation on Wednesday January 17th, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, 40 Queen Street, Langton. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will follow on January 17th, at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 24 Albert St., Langton. Interment follows in St. Ladislaus Cemetery, Courtland.
