LINDA MARIE BLACK
March 27, 1957 – November 20, 2023
In a world of darkness; light, love, and laughter could be found at Mamma’s house (along with a drawer full of snacks!). Linda Black (nee Lewis) grew up in Dorchester. The oldest daughter of Gord and Betty Lewis, and sister to Ron, Janet, and Randy. She met the love of her life, Steve Black (aka Blackie) and they married in 1976. They raised a loving family of three: Robyn (and Chris), Nikki (and Sean), and Ryan (and Kendra) who provided her with her greatest loves, her grandbabies, Justyn, Noa, Jonathyn, Jack, and grand pup Nixsen. Proud aunt to many nieces, nephews, and now a grand niece. She could be heard whistling from the stands and sidelines, cheering on all her loved ones through life. She has been present for all the milestones and celebrations and will continue to be in spirit.
She passed peacefully at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on November 20th, 2023, surrounded by the love of her family. We would like to give thanks to the nurses & doctors (in ED and ICCU), Sydney from Respiratory, and all other healthcare providers for all that you did. A special heartfelt thank you to Dr. Abdalla and Dr. Ijaz for the care you provided. Though she may no longer be with us physically, her love and warmth will always surround us.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, December 3rd from 3 pm until 7 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 153 in Tillsonburg. Please bring your stories and laughter to celebrate her life.
We ask that anyone wishing to make donations do so to the charity or cause near and dear to your heart in honour of Linda.
