June Faye Lowrie (Lee) passed away peacefully at her home on November 14th, 2023 at the age of 97 with her family by her side.
Predeceased by her husband Donald Forbes Lowrie in October 2007 and siblings Robert Lee, Beatrice Raney, Doris Ross, Donald Lee, and Jean Lee. Survived by her sister in law Zita Lee, daughters Jane Lowrie, Susan Lowrie, Anne (Ben) O’Neill . Loving grandmother of Jennifer Lewis, Scott (Laura) Lewis, Heather (Mike) Gilpin, Sarah Coulthard, Gwendolyn Lowrie-Dennis, Brendan Lowrie-Dennis, and David O’Neill. Proud great grandmother of Clara Nisker, Reid Nisker, Tessa Nisker, Ava Lewis, Wesley Gilpin and Andi Gilpin.
June was born in Springford and lived her entire life in the Tillsonburg area. She taught elementary school for many years in Tillsonburg and was an active member of First Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 1:00 – 3:30 pm and on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 10:00 – 10:45 am. The Funeral Service for June will follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Richard Jones officiating. Interment will be held at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to the First Baptist Church Missions or the charity of your choice may be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home (519-842-5221).
