FRITZ, Evelyn Amelia, a kind, loving, caring, faithful and charismatic soul, in her 93rd year passed away peacefully at VON-Sakura House in Woodstock on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 surrounded by her family.
Forever and greatly missed her children Gail Van Rietvelde, the late Cindy Parsons (Bob), Dottie Smith (the late Gary), Darrell Fritz and the late Darlene McLaughlin.
Loving grandmother to Angela Parsons, Kristen Parsons, Shawna McLeod (James), Jackie Winkworth (Dave), Ron Smith (Sheila), Allen Smith (Ashley), Melissa Howatson (Dave), Patti Gnepe, Julie McLaughlin and the late Billy McLaughlin as well as 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Evelyn is survived by her brother Ron Oldrige (the late Lynn) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was predeceased by her loving husband Walter Fritz, her parents Reford John and Mary (Mayme) Oldridge , and her brother Bobby Oldridge.
Special “Thank You” to Oxford Home and Community Care Support Services – Palliative Care Outreach Team, Dr. Regis and the staff at Sakura House. As well as her caring neighbours, and the residents at her apartment on Maple Lane.
Friends and relatives will be received by the family at Ostrander’s Funeral Home; 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Tuesday September 3, 2024 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and then 6:00pm -8:00pm with CWL Prayers to be held at 4:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday September 4, 2024 at 11:00am at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Tillsonburg with Father Seejo John officiating. Burial will be held immediately following the Service at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Cancer Research Society, VON Oxford – Sakura House or the charity of your choice and can be made online directly with each organization or via cheque payable to the charity by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home.
