Welcomed into the loving, eternal presence of her Lord and Saviour on October 2, 2023. Born in Koewacht, Holland on February 7, 1923. Emma was a resident of Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock and formerly of RR1 Otterville and South Norwich Township. Daughter of the late Peter Miggens and the late Maria (DeJonghe) Miggens. Retired tobacco farmer at the Otterville family farm. Member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Tillsonburg. Predeceased by her much-loved husband and best friend- Eugene Baert (June 30, 2000). Loving mother and mother-in-law of Linda Grim and her husband Deacon Jack Grim, of Otterville. Proud grandma of David Grim, of Courtland and Aaron Grim, of Otterville. Loving great grandma of Kyara Grim and Laena Grim. Also predeceased by her brother Remie Miggens, her sister Marguerite Miggens and two infant brothers.
Cremation has taken place. All friends, former neighbours and relatives are invited to attend a public visitation on Tuesday, October 10th, 2023, between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 11th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 51 Venison St. W., Tillsonburg, by Rev. Fr. Seejo John. All funeral attendees are invited to attend a CWL funeral luncheon, to be held immediately after Mass in the church hall. Interment will be on Wednesday, October 11th, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. in Tillsonburg Cemetery, by Deacon Jack Grim. Everyone who knew Emma is invited to share favourite memories, express personal condolences, send flowers, or contribute memorial donations to “St. Mary’s Church- Building Fund” or to the “Society of St. Vincent de Paul” via Emma’s online tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com or by contacting the Maurice J.
