After a lengthy battle with dementia, on Monday, August 19, 2024, Eileen Gladys Lamberton (nee Rooney) of Tillsonburg passed away peacefully at Valleyview Home, St. Thoams just shy of her 96th birthday. Predeceased by her loving husband Vernon (2016). Loving mother to Rob Lamberton of Squamish, B.C., Deborah Hill and her husband Bob of St. Thomas. Devoted grandmother to Terin Drewitt (Mike), Kyle Hill (Meghan), Maya Lamberton, Brandi Hill, Evan Lamberton, Angela Hill (Jordan), and Scott Hill (Melissa). Great grandmother to Parker Hill, Peyton Hill, Mae Hill and Charlie Hill. Eileen will be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Edgar and Gladys Rooney (nee Hall) and her brothers Don and George.
At the request of her family, cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated and can be done directly with the charity or by contacting the funeral home.
