Peacefully, at his home in Chatham with family by his side, on Saturday, June 15, 2024, Derek Deller Murr, formerly of Brownsville, passed away at the age of 96 years. Proud and loving father of his three daughters Nancy Miners (Ken) of Brownsville, Elizabeth Alabastine (Don) of Baden and Colleen Murr-Willson (Terry) of Chatham. Cherished grandfather of Corey (Melanie), Bradley (Teresa), Sarah, Rebekah (Mark), Laura (Tim), Melissa (Stefan), Mellody (Jorge) and 14 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Wilma Morgan of Kitchener. Derek is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Willard and Bridgett Murr and Doris (Deller) Murr, his partner Norma Welt, granddaughter Mandy and brother Dalton. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 from 11:00 am – 12:45 pm. The Funeral Service for Derek will follow at 1:00 pm in Ostrander’s Chapel. Interment will be held at Hillview Cemetery in Woodstock.
