Peacefully, at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Courtland on Saturday, June 1, 2024, Betty Julia (Roesch) Matthews, formerly of Port Burwell, passed away at the age of 97 years. Beloved wife of the Late Lee Matthews (1994). Proud and loving mother of her daughters Betty Lee Loucks (Gordon) of Port Burwell, Diane Selig of Nova Scotia, Jackie Shelley (Hugh) of Simcoe and Darlene Reynolds (Ken) of Burlington. Cherished grandmother of Rob, Ron, Tommy, Jamey, Ken, Dwayne, Lee-Ann, Allison and several great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Hazel Davey of Orillia. Predeceased by her son-in-law Wayne Selig, sister Katherine and brothers Murray and Ken. A Graveside Service for Betty will be held at the Tillsonburg Cemetery on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 2:00 pm. All are welcome. Memorial donations to the Port Burwell Anglican Church may be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted by Betty’s family.
