Timothy Unruh
With sorrow, TJ (Timothy James) Unruh, age 64, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 21, 2024 at the Meno Ya Win Health Centre, Sioux Lookout, Ontario.
TJ started his life in 1959 in Sudbury, Ontario and never stopped moving from there. He had a passion for the bush and water and would share it with anyone who dared to keep up. He travelled all over the world but after he found Sioux Lookout with his partner Eileen he settled quite happily. He loved to listen and would make you his sole focus whether one on one, at a fire, in a canoe or meeting his eye in the rear-view mirror.
TJ is survived by his mother Jeanne, daughter Tonya (Dan) Berlett children Carter and Ethan; longtime partner Eileen Izzard and their family David (Shannon) Mancuso children Nathan, Liam and Olivia; Terrance (Chloe) Webb child Bently, Colleen (Fernando) Moreira; siblings Tena (Terry) Smith; Carol (Larry) Perrier; Jeff Unruh; grandchildren Nathan, Liam, Olivia, Bentley, Carter and Ethan. Many nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. TJ was predeceased by his brother Brian (1970) and father Theodore (2008).
There will be a celebration of life, Friday, July 26, 2024, from 2 until 4PM at Castlegreen Community Hall at 213 Castlegreen Drive, Thunder Bay, ON. A Family interment to follow. In lieu of flowers a donation to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 575 Central Avenue, Thunder Bay.
