ROMAN MUZYKA
Mr. Roman (Hoss) Harry Muzyka, age 87 years, passed away peacefully in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.
Roman was born on May 19, 1937 in Thunder Bay, to parents Anton and Stephanie Muzyka. He married Doreen Gilkes and they built a wonderful life, spending over 49 years together, until her passing in March 2024. Family was Roman’s biggest passion, and time spent with his wife, children and grandchildren made him most happy. Roman will be deeply missed, but the memories shared will always remain treasured in our hearts.
Roman is survived by his daughter Natalie Muzyka (Daren Caplette) of Alberta and grandchildren Max, Kinsley and George. He was predeceased by his beloved son Michael and wife Doreen.
A special thank you to life long friends Don Shedler and Vern Anderson for all you have done for Dad to live his best life at home. Your kindness will always be appreciated in my absence.
As per Roman’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Should friends so desire, donations made in his memory to George Jeffrey Children’s Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James.
