WINTER
Lorne Allan Winter, age 68, lifelong resident of Thunder Bay, passed away suddenly at home on Friday, August 30, 2024 as the result of a cardiac event.
Lorne retired several years ago as a fire alarm technician after experiencing a workplace injury and since then experienced gradual declining health. During his life he enjoyed travel, camping, fishing and a good game of golf with friends.
Survived by two sons, John (Nicole), and Calvin,, and two grandsons, Cameron and Brady.
Also saddened by his passing are brothers Jim (Linda), and Rob (Monika), sisters Brenda Winter (Jeff Gibson), and Betty (Esko) Salo along with several nieces and nephews.
Lorne will also be missed by dear family friend Cora Sandham and the mother of his children Lisa Winter.
Predeceased by his parents Burt and Doris Winter, brother Bill, sisters Donna (Mel) Hegge, and infant sister Carol.
Cremation has taken place. Family will hold a private celebration of Lorne’s life.
