We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Muriel, in her 97th year, at the Algoma Manor. Beloved wife for 58 years of the late Bob. Cherished mother of Margaret Lessard (Darwin), Karren Maguire (Walter), Linda Robertson, late Darlene Childs (Steve) and Corrie Edwards (late John). Loving grandmother of Bobby, Kristi, Sherri, Derek, Chad, Tanya, Gary, Jennifer, Stephanie, Roberta, Denna, John and Tracy. Dear great grandmother of 25 and great great grandmother of 3. Caring sister of the late Victor Wilton (Margaret), June Farmer (late Cliff), late Gerald Wilton (Carroll) and Donald Wilton (Rita). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Muriel was a soft spoken, strong and devoted matriarch of the family.
Family and friends are invited to visit at Beggs Funeral Home, 175 Main Street, Thessalon, on Monday, October 23, 2023, beginning at 10am until time of service at 11:30am. Interment at Arnill Cemetery in Iron Bridge following funeral services. Brian Mundell officiating. A light luncheon will be held in basement of the Iron Bridge United Church following burial and all are welcome.
