BONNELL, Wilfred Norman “Wilf”
Passed away unexpectedly on March 30, 2024, at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, with his beloved wife at his side. Born in Nova Scotia 77 years ago, and a long-time resident of Waterloo Region.
Devoted and loving husband of Susan “Sue” Cosgrove for 21 years. Cherished father of Jason and wife Cora, Sean and wife Wendy and treasured stepfather of Lisa and husband Mike Thibeau. Wilf was truly a proud grandfather of Mackenzie Bonnell and Simon and Jack Thibeau. He will be missed by his 2 sisters Shirley and Judy as well as their families and his many friends.
Wilf was an Animal Control Officer for the Kitchener Waterloo Humane Society for many years. He enjoyed his game shows, playing poker and socializing with family, friends, and neighbours.
Cremation has taken place at Wilf’s request and a private graveside service will be held at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.
As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation and can be done through the funeral home website.
