Louise Force, who was in her 90th year, died on August 6, 2024 after a brief illness. She will be missed by her daughter, Fran Gray, her son-in-law Vince, and her granddaughters Catherine and Elizabeth. She was predeceased in 1971 by her husband, Wayne (Joe) Force. She will be fondly remembered by her brother-in-law Darrell and his family and many other nieces and nephews.
Louise lived in Norwich from 1949 to 2022 and taught at Norwich Public School and North Norwich Public School for more than 35 years. After her retirement in 1990, she worked part time at the Norwich Public Library, sang with the Tillsonburg Senior Centre Singers and enjoyed traveling and reading. Her trips took her to every continent except Asia.
Until two months before she moved to London due to failing health, she shared the companionship of a succession of cats of various breeds, most recently Himalayan and RagDoll. She loved sharing their antics and hearing about other people’s pets.
Many thanks to the staff at Maple View Terrace Retirement Residence (London), and to other medical personnel who assisted her for their ongoing care and concern over the last couple of years. Thanks also to the medical team at University Hospital for their care during her final illness.
Family and friends will be received at the Arn-Lockie Funeral Home, 45 Main Street West, Norwich, ON 519-863-3020, on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 12:00-12:45 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 1:00 pm. Cremation has taken place.
