Zita Rose Marie Trudel (Tremblay) made her final transition the evening of 4th of December 2024 and was welcomed into the arms of our Father in Heaven. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at Maison McCulloch Hospice in Sudbury at the age of 92 years.
Zita was predeceased in death in 2006 by her beloved husband Roger Albert Trudel, having celebrated 54 years of marriage. Devoted mom to Claude (Suzanne), Joanne (Neil Pacaud), Jeffrey (Monique), Denise (Norm Gagnon) and Denis. She was a proud and caring memere to 10 grandchildren Marc, Roxanne, Randy, Jamie, Joceline, Curtis, Julie, Chanelle, Laura and Jeff. She was also blessed with 15 great-grand children Sienna, Noel, Benoit, Bellamie, Sonny, Phaedra, Lennan, Joshua, Riley, Skyla, Ryker, Lexa, Shane, Jayden and Ayla.
Zita s departure leaves an unfillable void in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren lives, yet they find comfort in the memories and everlasting love they shared. Her legacy of love, faith and generosity will continue to inspire all who knew her. She was a constant source of support and encouragement, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer words of wisdom.
Zita was predeceased by her father Arthur Tremblay and mother Gabrielle (Boissonneault), and predeceased by her 10 siblings Renaud, Roland, Anita, Claire, Antoine, Serge, Jacinthe, Léandre, Ludovic, and Lucette. She will be remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, 4 sisters-in-law Annette, Yvette, Réjeanne, Claudette and a wide circle of friends.
She embodied the best of qualities, unconditional and unselfish love, strength of spirit, and an unending generosity and love for her children and grandchildren that could be seen in the care and support she gave through many highs and lows in their life.
Zita was passionate about her faith, a loyal member of Glad Tidings Tabernacle. Her unwavering belief in the power of prayer inspired many and brought comfort to those in need. Zita’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was actively involved in her church community, where she shared her gifts of humility and compassion.
Zita was a joyful presence with her colourful clothes, beautiful hair, creative fashion choices and a bubbly personality. She loved her family and friends and filled her home with warmth and kindness.
She was a life long advocate for the unborn, and worked for Sudbury Right to Life for 25 years, counselling unwed mothers, offering helpful advice and organizing countless Right to Life Bazaars to raise funds to carry on this important work. All the while she also worked at Christ the King Centre.
A memorial service will held on Sunday, 8th December 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Cooperative Funeral Home on LaSalle Blvd in Sudbury where family and friends are invited to celebrate her remarkable life. A chapel service will follow on site at 4:00 p.m. A luncheon will be served in the reception room after the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made by cheque or online to Sudbury Right to Life (a cause near and dear to her heart) or to Maison McCulloch Hospice where she received outstanding care.
Maison McCulloch Hospice was the best place for all of us as it was a home away from home and made this, her final journey, a little easier. For this we will be forever grateful.
