C’est avec grande tristesse que la famille annonce son décès à Sudbury, le jeudi 4 janvier 2024 à l’âge de 87 ans. Fils de feu Joseph et de feue Laurette (née Provost) Delorme. Époux bien-aimé de Claudette (née Thibeault) Delorme. Cher père de Michelle Delorme (Neil Lillico) et de Lyne Kristensen (Roy). Cher frère de Rita Delorme, Sr. Yvette Delorme et Pauline Portelance (Roland). Prédécédé par son frère Robert. Grand-père chéri de Danielle et Aimée Kristensen. Il laisse également dans le deuil sa nièce, ses neveux, parents et amis. René a été éducateur pendant plusieurs années à l’école Ste-Marie, à l’école secondaire Rayside, à MacDonald Cartier et à la Rivière des Français, et il a touché la vie de nombreuses personnes. Un service à l’église suivie d’une célébration de sa vie aura lieu au printemps ou en début d’été et sera annoncée ici. Au lieu de fleurs, des dons en sa mémoire peuvent être faits par chèque ou en ligne à la Société Alzheimer.
It is with great sadness that the family announces his passing in Sudbury, Thursday, January 4, 2024 at the age of 87 years. Son of the late Joseph and late Laurette (née Provost) Delorme. Beloved husband of Claudette (née Thibeault) Delorme. Loving father of Michelle Delorme (Neil Lillico) and Lyne Kristensen (Roy). Dear brother of Rita Delorme, Sr. Yvette Delorme and Pauline Portelance (Roland). Predeceased by his brother Robert. Cherished grandfather of Danielle and Aimée Kristensen. He will be sadly missed by his niece, nephews, relatives and friends. René was an educator for several years at École Ste-Marie, École Secondaire Rayside, MacDonald Cartier and Rivière des Français and touched the lives of many. A church service followed by a celebration of his life will be held at a later date, in the spring or early summer, and announced here. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made by cheque or online to the Alzheimer Society.
