It is with great sorrow that the family announces her passing with her family by her side on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the age of 82 years.
Cherished daughter of Janine Bourgeois (née Langdon) and of the late Aldorice Bourgeois. Predeceased by her husband Normand Jutras in 2004. Loving mother of Denise Jutras (late Stan Black), Janine Paradis (Marc), Pierre Jutras and André Jutras (Angèle). Proud grandmother of Mathieu, Joël, Alex, Martine, Dominik, Hayden, Makayla and Kaylee. Great-grandmother of Jase, Kalum, Emilia and Felix. Survived by her sisters Claire Stanghetta (late Ron), Gloria Burt, Dorice Stephen (late Keith) and Susan Bourgeois (Tom Marinelli). Dear sister-in-law to Jeannine Caron (late Lionel), Lucille Albert (late Richard), Hélène Chartrand (Raymond), Carole Campeau (late Normand) and Monique Kadlec (Felix). She will be sadly missed by her fur baby Lilly, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
MaryAnn will be remembered for her love of family, her gratitude for her many blessings, her generosity and her joy of life. She never missed an opportunity to help family and friends with anything from moving to cleaning, to helping with events like Halloween, New Years and Valentine parties. She enjoyed her winters in Florida with Dad until 2004 and later spending time with her sister-in-law Carole. She loved shopping and visiting new places, and up until last year, enjoyed being a passenger on Denise’s Spyder. She also loved her quiet time at home with her favourite tv shows and drama movies and looked forward to her nightly nightcap in the hot tub. She never missed an opportunity to tag along to anything from Angele’s baseball games to her grand childrens’ competitive dance and gymnastic competitions, visiting Janine and Marc at their trailer, dancing to live music and especially family get-togethers. During her last nine months fighting brain cancer, she never lost her fighting spirit and consistently recognized the many blessings in her life.
The family would like to express a very special thank you for the amazing support and care provided through In-House Hospice while she was still at home and during her last three weeks at Maison McCulloch Hospice.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 1-4 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Sunday, November 17, 2024, after 9 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home Chapel followed by a reception at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made by cheque or online to Maison McCulloch Hospice. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
