C’est avec grande tristesse que la famille annonce son décès survenu à Au Château, Sturgeon Falls, le mercredi, 20 décembre, 2023 à l’âge de 81 ans. Fils de feu Laurier Tanguay et de feu Antoinette (née Lavigne). Époux bien aimé de Marie-Ange Tanguay (née Tessier). Père aimant de Nicole (Marc), Jacques (Linda, Marc, Jessie) et Sylvie (Jacques). Son souvenir restera gravé dans la mémoire de ses petits-enfants Émile, Joséanne , Marie-Ève, Léo et Benoit. Frère de feu Florence Girard (Claude), Lorraine Paulin (Léo), Hermas Tanguay (Nicole), Anita Corriveau (Gaëtan), Gracia Lennon, Yvette Tanguay, Adrienne Petitpas (Richard), Germaine Tanguay, Lise Martel (Normand) et Diane Tanguay (Roger).
Richard aura toujours su se démarquer en étant un citoyen dévoué et dépareillé envers sa communauté. Il était un grand amateur de pêche à la truite et joueur de cartes taquin dont on se souviendra toujours.
Une messe funéraire sera célébrée le vendredi, 5 janvier 2024, à 11h00 à l’église Ste-Rose de Lima, River Valley. Les arrangements funéraires sont confiés au Salon Funéraire Théorêt Bourgeois, Sturgeon Falls.
La famille tient à remercier le personnel exceptionnel d’Au Château pour les soins et le dévouement inlassable donné à Richard pendant son séjour avec eux.
It is with great sadness that the family announces his death at Au Château, Sturgeon Falls, on Wednesday, December 20th, 2023, at the age of 81 years. Son of the late Laurier Tanguay and of the late Antoinette (née Lavigne). Beloved husband of Marie-Ange Tanguay (née Tessier). Doting father of Nicole (Marc), Jacques (Linda, Marc, Jessie) and Sylvie (Jacques). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Émile, Joséanne, Marie-Ève, Léo and Benoit. Brother of the late Florence Girard (Claude) and of Lorraine Paulin (Léo), Hermas Tanguay (Nicole), Anita Corriveau (Gaëtan), Gracia Lennon, Yvette Tanguay, Adrienne Petitpas (Richard), Germaine Tanguay, Lise Martel (Normand) and Diane Tanguay (Roger).
Richard always stood out as an upstanding and unparalleled citizen in his community. He was an avid trout fisherman and a mischievous card player who will never be forgotten.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on January 5th, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Ste-Rose de Lima Church, River Valley. Funeral arrangements in care of Théorêt Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls.
The family would like to thank the exceptional staff at Au Château for the tireless care and dedication given to Richard during his stay with them.
