Brandridge, Herman Edgar “Larry” (1939 – 2024)
The family announces with sorrow his unexpected death in Field, Sunday December 1, 2024 at the age of 85 years. Son of the late Lawrence and of the late Velma (née Cairns). Beloved husband of the late Betty (née Woods). Loving father of Debbie Lukezic (Steve), Ken Plourde (Sue), Gary Plourde (Jill), Robin Higson (Wayne), Tammy Visser (Jim), Kevin Plourde (Frieda), Kerry Plourde (Marcella), Loreen Carter (Bruce), and Larry Brandridge (Amanda). Special grandpa and great-grandpa to many grandchildren.
Larry was the longest serving member of the Field First Response team and a former volunteer with the West Nipissing Snowmobile Club. He was very active in his beloved community. He loved to go out to the local Sturgeon Falls Legion for jam sessions and attend many events including classic car shows. He could be seen regularly having breakfast at the Field Golden Age Club.
Larry was a friend to many in the West Nipissing area. A special thank you to his friends Denny Dusky and Carol Allard for being there for him since his wife’s passing. A heartfelt thank you goes out as well to the Field First Response team, West Nipissing Paramedics, and the West Nipissing OPP. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Funeral arrangements in care of the Theoret-Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls. Donations to the West Nipissing Food Bank or to the Field First Response organization would be greatly appreciated.
