On Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024, Doris passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Sturgeon Falls at the age of 80 years old. Son of the late Paul and of the late Gracia (née Groulx). Beloved husband of Gail (née Rochon). Loving father of Colette Anderson (Don Anderson deceased) (Michael Lavallee) and Sylvianne Giroux (Eric). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Tanner (Mariel), Teagan (Geneviève), Cody (Jessica), Erika (Connor), Shyloe, Corrie and Wyatt (Audrey). Dear brother of Richard (Joanne), Rachel (Jean-Guy), Claudette (Jean), Gisèle and Monique (Rhéal). Predeceased by his siblings Lucien (late Yvette), Lucille (late Rhéal), Lorraine (late Carson), Marie (late René), Jean-Paul (late Lorraine), Aurel (late Bernadette), Eva (late Normand), Claire (Roger), Gérard (France), Noëlla and Léo.
Doris’ family meant everything to him whether it was his yearly hunting trip with his nephews or spending time with his family at his happy places Deschamps and Domaine Des Pionniers. If he wasn’t hunting or fishing he was cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays and Montreal Canadians. Doris loved hockey, which he played into his seventies and was always there cheering on his grandkids.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Funeral arrangements in care of the Théorêt-Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls. Donations to Ontario Lung Association would be greatly appreciated.

Père bien aimé de Colette Anderson (Don Anderson décédé), (Michael Lavallee) et Sylvianne Giroux (Eric). Son souvenir restera gravé dans la mémoire de ses petits-enfants Tanner (Mariel), Teagan (Geneviève), Cody (Jessica), Erika (Connor), Shyloe, Corrie et Wyatt (Audrey). Frère de Richard (Joanne), Rachel (Jean-Guy), Claudette (Jean), Gisèle et Monique (Rhéal). Prédécédé par ses frères et sœurs Lucien (feu Yvette), Lucille (feu Rhéal), Lorraine (feu Carson), Marie (feu René), Jean-Paul (feu Lorraine), Aurel (feu Bernadette), Eva (feu Normand), Claire (Roger), Gérard (France), Noëlla et Léo.
La famille de Doris signifiait tout pour lui, qu’il s’agisse de son voyage de chasse annuel avec ses neveux ou de passer du temps avec sa famille dans ses heureux endroits Deschamps et Domaine Des Pionniers. S’il ne chassait pas ou ne pêchait pas, il encourageait les Blue Jays de Toronto et les Canadiens de Montréal. Doris adorait le hockey, qu’il jouait jusqu’à soixante-dix ans et était toujours là pour encourager ses petits-enfants.
Une célébration de la vie sera annoncée ultérieurement. Les arrangements funéraires ont été confiés aux soins de la Maison Funéraire Théorêt-Bourgeois, Sturgeon Falls. Que vos témoignages de condoléances se traduisent à l’Association pulmonaire de l’Ontario
