The family announces with sorrow her death in Sturgeon Falls, Saturday, June 8th, 2024 at the age of 89 years. Daughter of the late Roy and Edna Dodds (Stewart) of Cache Bay. Wife of the late Stanley Clark (2002). Dear mother of Bill (Suzanne), Sandra (Richard Mayotte ), and Heather (Bruce McLeod). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Steve (Josée), Darin (Brynn), Sarah ( Nicole), Stephan (Joannie), and Megan (Will). As well as her great-grandchildren: Azélie, Emerson, Charlotte, and Anika. Pre-deceased by her sisters Joan and Mary and brother-in-law Dr. James Ainger; in laws, William Clark, Margaret(Sis) Crispin (Paul), Florence McIntyre (Grant), Herbert (Buddy) Clark (Connie), Clifford Clark (Adelaide). Survived by her sister-in-law Barbara Chartrand (John) and Shirley Clark, and many nieces and nephews.
Barbara was an active member of the community, and of St Andrews United Church where she was treasurer for many years and assisted in many luncheons, bake sales and fund raisers for the Church. She enjoyed a lengthy career as a legal secretary and was famous for her chocolate cake. She very much enjoyed crosswords, cards (bridge) and curling. She loved spending her free time with family and friends, and spending her winters in Florida.
The family will receive friends for the service at St Andrews United Church, 185 Holditch Street in Sturgeon Falls, ON on Tuesday, June 18th, 2024 at 11:00 am. Burial to follow. Arrangements in care of Theoret-Bourgeois Funeral Home. A light lunch will be served after the service in the Church basement.
In lieu of flowers donations to the St Andrews United Church, Sturgeon Falls or Au Château , Sturgeon Falls ON would be appreciated.
La famille annonce avec regret son décès survenu à Sturgeon Falls, le samedi, 8 juin, 2024 à l’âge de 89 ans. Fille de feu Roy et Edna Dodds (Stewart) de Cache Bay. Épouse de feu Stanley Clark (2002). Chère mère de Bill (Suzanne), Sandra (Richard Mayotte) et Heather (Bruce McLeod). Son souvenir restera gravé dans la mémoire de ses petits-enfants Steve (Josée), Darin (Brynn), Sarah (Nicole), Stephan (Joannie), et Megan (Will) ainsi que de ses arrière-petits-enfants Azélie, Emerson, Charlotte, et Anika. Prédécédée par ses sœurs Joan et Mary et son beau-frère Dr. James Ainger; sa belle-famille, William Clark, Margaret (Sis) Crispin (Paul), Florence McIntyre (Grant), Herbert (Buddy) Clark (Connie), et Clifford Clark (Adelaide). Lui survit également ses belles-sœurs Barbara Chartrand (John) et Shirley Clark, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.
Barbara était un membre actif de la communauté, et de la paroisse St Andrews United Church où elle a été trésorière pendant de nombreuses années et a participé à de nombreux déjeuners, ventes de pâtisseries et collectes de fonds pour l’Église. Elle a mené une longue carrière de secrétaire juridique et était célèbre pour son gâteau au chocolat. Elle aimait beaucoup les mots croisés, les cartes (bridge) et le curling. Elle aimait passer son temps libre avec sa famille et ses amis et passer ses hivers en Floride.
La famille recevra parents et amis à l’église St Andrews United Church, 185 Holditch Street, Sturgeon Falls, ON le mardi, 18 juin, 2024 à 11h00. L’enterrement des cendres suivra le service funéraire. Les arrangements funéraires sont confiés au salon funéraire Theoret-Bourgeois. Un léger repas sera servi après le service au sous-sol de l’église.
