Norma Elaine Robertson
June 11, 1946 – July 5,2024
After a lengthy and courageous struggle with Pulmonary Fibrosis, Norma passed away at home with family at her side, on Friday, July 5th.
Family was everything to Norma and family gatherings were her “happy place”.
Beloved wife and best friend of Jim for 55 cherished years.
Loving mother to Greg (Kim), Scott (Amanda) and Sean (Lisa).
Proud Grandma of Fletcher, Ethan, Cohen, Max, Maple, Charlotte and Great Granddaughter Raya.
Daughter of the late John and Margaret Oakes.
Sister of Bill (Marilyn) Oakes, Nancy (the late John) Larocque and Debbie (Tom) Pereira.
Predeceased by her sister Roberta Giffen.
Sister-in-law of Carolyn (Chris) Ogierman.
Norma is loved and will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and their families.
Norma’s family wishes to express their thanks and acknowledge the loving, compassionate care and support from Barb Bartholomew, as well as the kindness of the medical teams on the 2nd floor of SMGH, the VON and St. Elizabeth.
A lifelong resident of Strathroy, Norma was actively involved in Scouting (47 years), Camp Kee-mo-kee, I0DE and the United Church (Strathroy and Forest).
Visitation will take place at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2024 at the Strathroy United Church, 131 Front St. W. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00am, then a luncheon and time of fellowship downstairs.
