Obituary of José “Joe” Goncalves Pereira
Peacefully with his family by his side, at Strathroy Middle General Hospital, on December 7th, 2024, Jose “Joe” Goncalves Pereira in his 87th year.
Cherished husband of Antonia Pereira, who just celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on December 6. Loving father of Regina, Maria Das Candeias (John), Eva Maria, Luis (Anabela), Graciela (John), Emanuel (Audra), and Ana Paula (David). Devoted Grandfather of 23 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Dear brother of Encarnaçáo (Carlos). Predeceased by brother Antonio.
Jose will be missed by his nieces, nephews, family and friends in Canada and Portugal.
Friends will be received at Denning’s of Strathroy on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 13th, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, Strathroy. Interment to follow in All Saint’s Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be acknowledged by the family.
