Obituary of Cornelia “Corry” Nordemann
Cornelia “Corry” Nordemann (nee van Dalfsen)
Peacefully at Strathmere Lodge on January 8, 2024, Cornelia “Corry” Nordemann (nee van Dalfsen) passed away in her 97th year. She is survived by her brother Bill. Corry was predeceased by her loving husband Aart. She was the proud mother of Olav (Janet), Olga (Alfred), Ingrid (the late Alan), Karin (Max), and Diana (John). She was the loving Oma of Christopher (Jackie), Tara, Jenny-Marie (Peter), Amy-Christine, Jennifer (Darren), Laura (Andrew), Amy (Paul), Malcolm (Lindsey), Margot (Donavan), and Marshall. She was the great-Oma of Larkin, Carter, Mason, Everly, Felicity, Logan, Ben, James, and Everett. Corry is survived by her sister-in-law Rudi. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family in both Canada and The Netherlands.
Corry was an incredible listener, patient, and very kind. She loved her family dearly and cherished all of the moments spent with them.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff and volunteers at Strathmere Lodge for their compassion and care.
Visitation will be held on Friday January 12, 2024, from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at COMPASS COMMUNITY CHURCH. A funeral service will follow visitation at 2:00pm at the church.
In memory of Corry, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
