William Smith Petrie Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Smith Petrie or ‘Smith’ as many knew him on June 28, 2024. He was born in Invergowrie Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1948.
He worked for Domtar Packaging in both Toronto and St. Mary’s for over 40 years until his retirement in 1989. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, playing tennis and volunteering with the Friends of the Festival. He loved sailing in Bayfield and traveling to different countries.
Smith is survived by his wife Connie of 63 years, his daughter Karen Kirk (Jim) and son Scott Petrie (Saria). Also 3 granddaughters Kristen, Nicole and Lindsay Kirk and 2 grandsons Sean and Shane Petrie.
There will be no services, but the family welcomes any messages of condolence.
