Nancy Susan Laughton, age 76 of Grand Bend passed away in her sleep on October 20, 2023. Born in London, Ontario, January 28, 1947, daughter of the late Ken and Anabel Laughton. Cherished sister of Jim Laughton (Laurel), special aunt to Catherine (Greg) Wolfkamp and their sons Nathan and Evan; Dennis (Lisa) and their children Haley and Ethan Laughton. Sue will be sorely missed by her best friends, Darlene McKaig, Mary Cardiff and the many friends she made at Grand Cove. Sue is survived by her cousins John and Eleanor Waldie and the Spratt family of London. Sue was a world traveler attending many World Championship skating events with her beloved mom. Darlene, Mary and Sue also enjoyed many trips all over the world. She worked at the Royal Bank in many places across Ontario and retired to Grand Bend in 2007. Sue loved crossword puzzles, euchre, playing board games and especially Bananagrams. She was also a voracious reader and was also involved with many activities at Grand Cove.
Sue’s wishes for memorial donations were to the Canadian Cancer Society (Research Only) and London Health Sciences Foundation (Heart and Stroke Centre). The family wish to thank the first responders for their kind assistance.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at the Grand Cove Estates Clubhouse in Grand Bend from 2 to 4 p.m. Cremation has taken place and burial in Southampton Cemetery at a later date.
