Rosamond Van Pelt Obituary
Rosamond Van Pelt, aged 80, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2024.
She was born in Liverpool, England, and was the daughter of the late John and Joan Alcock.
Rosamond was the beloved wife of Larry Van Pelt and the loving mother of Chris and Graham. She was also a treasured sister to Carol in England and a dear friend to Margaret.
Rosamond emigrated by sea to Canada in 1967 and brought her young family to Stratford in 1990. She became a cherished member of our community, connecting people through activities like Tai Chi, the French club, and a love for classical art and theater. Peaceful family walks around the Avon River were a favourite pastime, along with reading, playing Mah-Jongh, studying art history, and caring for her cats.
