Marlene Ross Obituary
Marlene Ross, age 86, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Monday, March 18, 2024. Born in Strasbourg, Saskatchewan, daughter of the late Henry and Jennie (McNaughton) Schwandt. Marlene was predeceased by her loving husband Raymond Ross, May 7, 1999. Proud mother of Raylene Ross (John Kafka), Naomi Lange, Charlene Ross (Tony Burrows) and Scott (Julia) Ross. Loving grandmother and great grandmother.
Marlene will be remembered by her sister Donna and the entire Schwandt and Ross families and nieces and nephews.
Activities that Marlie enjoyed were pool parties, hanging with her coffee klatch and spending many hours on the front porch interacting with everyone who passed by… and above all, family was her joy!
Besides her parents and her husband Ray, Marlene was predeceased by her granddaughter Courtney Ross-Cunningham, her son-in-law Ted Lange, her two brothers Clinton and Donald Schwandt.
The family would like to thank everyone who helped make mom’s life easier and more fun! Special thanks to those that assisted mom at Stratford General Hospital.
In keeping with Marlene’s wishes, cremation has taken place. And she will be reunited with her best friend and true love Ray in Avondale Cemetery.
Friends and family are invited to Marlene’s Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Stratford Country Club, 53 Romeo St, North, Stratford. In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Stratford General Hospital Foundation or Lung Cancer Canada through the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford.
