Donald J. Ratz Obituary
Donald Joseph Ratz, age 91, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital surrounded by family on February 23, 2024. Born in Stratford, son of the late Harold and Ruby Ratz.
Don is survived by his wife of 71 years Shirley Bossence. Father of Janis Schenck (Willard), Kathy Manktelow, Linda Robinson (Michael). Grandfather of Ian Schenck (Kim), Daryl Schenck (Amanda). Step Grandfather of Amy and Michaela. Great grandfather of Carson, Brynlee, Emma, Liam, Abigail.
Predeceased by son-in-law Duff Manktelow and brothers Robert and Lloyd Ratz. Don was employed at Kroehler’s for 40 years.
The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at Stratford General Hospital. Thank you to Dr. Thomas for assisting with the MAID program.
At Don’s request cremation will take place with a private family service at Gods Holy Acre, St. James Anglican Church. Donations may be made to Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth, or the charity of one’s choice.
