Betty McLean Obituary
Beryl “Betty” Mabel McLean, age 95, of Stratford, formerly of Oshawa, passed away peacefully at Hillside Manor with her family by her side, three days after celebrating her 95th birthday. Born in Sherbrooke, QC, daughter of the late Albert Arthur and Florence Emily (March) Perry. Loving mother of Linda (Kevin) Connell, Peter Hill and Kate Schillings. Proud grandmother of Christopher Lloyd and great grandmother of Ruby and Aidan Lloyd. Betty will be fondly remembered by her sister Doris Davis. Our mother was a lifelong quilter and crafter, and a very active member of the Anglican Church. Some of her many quilts have made their way all over North America and parts of Europe. The family would like to sincerely thank all the wonderful staff at Woodland Towers and Hillside Manor for making mom’s life comfortable. And, to the wonderful doctors and nurses at Stratford General Hospital, your kindness will never be forgotten. Besides her parents, Betty was predeceased by her grandson Luke Schillings and her brother Ken Perry. In keeping with Betty’s wishes cremation has taken place and interment will take place in Oshawa Cemetery. “We lost Mom twice. The first time was to dementia.” As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society Huron Perth through the W. G.
