It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Veronica Suffoletta (NEE Richards), who departed this world on November 22, 2023.
Veronica was born on December 26, 1945 in Liverpool, UK to Rose and John Richards. She arrived in Canada in 1968 to embark on a remarkable and rewarding journey in the field of teaching. Her thirty-year career was a source of immense joy and fulfilment, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of countless students.
In the tapestry of Veronica’s life, threads of affection for British dramas, a passion for literature, a deep love for dogs, and a fondness for a well-enjoyed glass of wine were seamlessly woven, along with her adoration for owls and the quaint charm of English cottages. Her delightful and mischievous sense of humour became a cherished hallmark, leaving an enduring impression on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Veronica exuded a profound passion for travel, always eagerly anticipating her next adventure in the wide expanse of the world. This shared love formed a beautiful bond between her, her devoted husband Vincent, and their cherished son, Damian.
Veronica is survived by families in Canada and England. A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
Veronica will be deeply missed but will live on in the hearts and memories of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
