Our Father, Opa, and great Opa has passed away into the Lord’s presence, reunited with our mother Ann on November 21st at Shalom Manor, Grimsby. Formally from Brampton many knew Thys as a painter, artist, and church member of the CRC community. He is survived by his children Henry (Judy), Elizabeth (Wade), Michael (Lori), his grandchildren Katherine (Nathan), Kevin (Emily), Tyse (Lynn), Riley, and great grandchildren Leo, Elias, Myra and Clara, his wife Donna, his brother John (Diane) and sister Margaret (pre. Al). Thys was cherished and loved beyond measure and will be greatly missed. We would like to thank the compassionate team and staff at Shalom Manor for the comfort and care they provided to Thys. His life will be celebrated in a private family ceremony.
