Martin Zsifkovits passed away suddenly on November 11, 2023 at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington surrounded by family. He was age 89.
Born April 26, 1934 in Stinatz, Austria to Katharina and Leo Zsifkovits, he moved to Canada in 1956. Predeceased by his beloved and devoted wife of 57 years, Margaret (Dragschitz). He will be dearly missed by sons Michael and Mark (Valerie) and grandkids Sebastian and Penelope, his brothers Georg, Johann, Adolf (predeceased), sisters Theresia and Agnes (predeceased) and their families.
Forever remembered for his loyalty and selflessness, kindness and respect for others. He was a fantastic father and always put other people first. He liked playing cards and cheering on The Tiger-Cats and the Leafs. He loved living in Canada and was very proud of his Austrian heritage.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held for family and friends at a later date. Condolences are welcome at www.canadiancremation.com.
