Pettipas, Joseph Anthony (September 23, 1936 – November 11, 2023) of Nova Scotia,
passed away peacefully at Grace Villa LTC. Hamilton, Ontario, with his family by his side.
Together again with his wife Hazel (Stewart) Pettipas as she has been waiting for him for
close to four years.
Much loved and missed by his children Joseph Jr. (Paul), Richard (Karen) (Lynda), the baby
Dawn Marie (Steven his pal) & step son Steve.
Very proud Grandfather to Steven, Sarah (Adam), Christopher (Sarah), Michael (Baska) &
Joshua, great grand Dad to Evelyn & Callum.
Joe is survived by his sister’s Cyrena, Catherine, his brother Roy preceded by his sisters
Yvonne, Verda & his parents Mary Cecelia & Joseph.
With much gratitude and thanks go to Dr. McKenna & the angels who worked and took care
of Dad throughout the years at Grace Villa. They were always the familiar faces he needed
during his battle with Alzheimer’s.
Dad really loved watching videos of Nova Scotia, playing hide and seek, and putting garbage
into staff’s pockets as they passed by.
Cremation has taken place while there will be no formal funeral. Celebration of life for both
Hazel & Joe to take place in the near future.
Donations in lieu of flowers to be given in memory of Joe to Grace Villa LTC., 45 Lockton
Crescent, Hamilton Ontario, as Joe was a proud volunteer there for twenty two years prior to
it becoming his home in the last four years of his life.
Words can not express how deeply you will be missed, Daddy “I love you, I love you, I love
you”.
