Obituary of Helen Kagianis
After a lengthy battle, Helen passed away at St. Peter’s Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at the age of 68. Beloved wife of Stan Kagianis for 48 years. Cherished mother of Soula (Derek) Schumacher, George (Sandra) Kagianis, and Adriana (Vince) Monaco. Much loved grandmother of Stanley, Eleni, Athanasia, Umberto, Andriana, Yanni, Christopher, Evangelina, and great-grandmother of Athena. Dear sister of Mike (Hayde) Coufadis.
Helen will always be remembered for the unconditional love she had for her family and her enduring strength. You will forever be in our hearts. Special thanks to Dr. Lafranier and palliative care team who took care of Helen at St.Peter’s Hospital.
Friends and family will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Prayers 6 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Panagia-Dormition of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church, 233 East 15th St., Hamilton at 1 p.m. with Father Elias Drossos officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Hamilton Cemetery.
