Obituary of Carol June McCready
On December 12, 2023, Carol was called home to be with her Lord. Beautiful wife of the late Gordon for 57 years and Stewart Wilson for 6 years. Loving mother of David and his wife Terry, April and her husband Scott, Pamela and her husband J.P. and Tricia. Devoted grandmother of Londii and her husband Brian, Matthew and Samuel, Zac and his wife Sara, Allie and her husband Justin, Autumn and her husband Wesley, Justin and Ethan.
Carol was a founding member of Meadow Creek Community Church and served as a Counsellor and Deaconess. She was a long-time employee at Chedoke McMaster Hospital. Carol was also a member of her bowling group and often won. Mom was known for family Christmas on Boxing Day at the Clubhouse. The family would like to especially thank all the staff members at St. Peter’s Residence at Chedoke who provided such compassionate care.
Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, December 18th. Interment Mount Hamilton Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to World Vision or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
