Regrettably, we announce the passing of Marilyn Grace Burgoyne at St. Catharines General Hospital with her family by her side; due to complications from a lengthy and progressive illness in her 88th year.
Marilyn was predeceased by her loving soulmate Brian Burgoyne and her loving parents Fred and Gladys Cords. She is survived by her loving daughter Jane Villeneuve (Wayne) and her loving son Terry Burgoyne (Kathy); grandchildren Emma Burgoyne, Sabrina and Violet Ioannoni, Raymond and Shalyn Jensen; Great grandchildren: Carter, Raymond and Palmer. She is survived by her sister Lois Boyd and predeceased by her brother Donald Cords.
Marilyn was the Matriarch of her family. She is known for her unconditional love, sweetness, a great listener, caring, hardworking, sharp mindedness, fierce family dedication and gentle. Marilyn loved her hobbies, which included ceramics and Cottage Country. Marilyn was known for her babysitting prowess in her younger years followed by many years for Shoppers Drug Mart, Luder’s Pharmacy and the Big V.
Marilyn will be missed by everyone. Arrangements have been entrusted to PASSFIELD MORTUARY SERVIES INC. Cremation has taken place. The celebration of life will take place Saturday June 1st 1pm to 4pm Grantham Lions Club 732 Niagara Street St. Catharines L2M 7W7.
