Messali (Sinopoli), Lina
It is with great sadness that we announce that Lina passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 in her 90th year after a brief illness surrounded by her family at home. She was born in Roma, Italy to parents Giovanni and Maria. She is predeceased by her husband Emilio Sinopoli, her brother Vittorio (Rosa), her sister Rita. Survived by her sister Gabriella. Lina is a beloved mother of 12 children Ralph (Sandy) Sinopoli, Gino (Judy) Sinopoli, Marc (Debby) Sinopoli, Frank (Anna) Sinopoli, Eliseo (Wendy) Sinopoli, Rosetta Sinopoli, Ester (Bruno) Merlino, Lina Mackinnon, Mary Carfagnini, Violet (Terry) Bobak, Naomi (Steve) Petrecca, Manny Sinopoli. She is Nonna to 22 grandchildren and 20 great granchildren.
Lina attended Full Gospel Church where she has been a member for over 32 years.
Lina enjoyed cooking and gardening and sharing many of her prepared meals with La Famiglia.
Family and friends will be received at George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Full Gospel Church, 376 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Wednesday, September 4 at 11 a.m. Interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
Lina was blessed with a strong Christian faith and knew Jesus had prepared a place for her, we miss her now but we know we will see her again one day.
