POTTS, James Victor
Born august 8, 1932 in Toronto ON to William Arthur and Annie Rose Marie (Travis) Potts. Passing peacefully in his sleep after a brief illness (Covid) very early June 24, 2024, in his 92nd year at St Catharines General Hospital ON.
Survived by his loving daughters Catherine Elizabeth Potts in St Catharines ON and Carolyn Anne Potts (Rick Caines) in Coquitlam BC and her children Ainne Heather Hickey, Conor Martin Hickey and Kevin Patrick James Hickey as well as many nieces and nephews and their children. He was predeceased by his sisters Patricia and Joyce (Allen) and brother William Potts and leaves behind his dear sister Shirlie Toro-Fralick (98)
Throughout the years he worked in many fields as a gold assayer in the Yukon, salesman for new upcoming electric shavers, jewelry, trophies and capping it off with 4-colour printing before retirement! He loved photography and took so many pictures of family and friends having fun whenever he could!
James was a shy but friendly Irishman who had many long-term acquaintances through HPSC, HPTC and maintained his true friends for decades until the end. He loved to laugh, sing and play harmless little jokes! He enjoyed years of building and flying radio controlled airplanes with various flying clubs in Ontario, years of house renovations, building model sailboats and furniture and last but certainly not least… his beloved MLB Toronto Blue Jays from day 1.

Memorial to be held on his birthday August 8, at the family cottage in Innisfil, ON from 1-5 pm. Bring a chair, beverages, etc. In lieu please donate to Diabetes Canada or Heart & Stroke Foundation
