Stewart, Gordon George.
July 24, 1964-January 17, 2024
With profound sadness, the Stewart family must announce the passing of Gordon on January 17th, 2024, at the age of 59. Far too young.
He is survived by two wonderful sons, Desmond (Stav) and Jordan. Beloved son of Jean & Tony, cherished brother to Colin & sister Alison (Gerry). Loving uncle to Alexandra. He is fondly remembered by many family and friends throughout Scotland and Canada.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Gordon immigrated to Canada at a young age. He grew up playing soccer locally, graduated from Brock University, and went on to have a career in accounting. He was involved in coaching both his boys over the years. He will be remembered for his quick wit, and somewhat sarcastic humour. There is no doubt he was easy to share a laugh with. His voice will be missed around the dinner table, singing songs like “You’ll Never Walk Alone” and hollering out the answer to one of many trivia questions.
In honouring the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at Manhattan’s Bar & Grill Saturday, February 3, from 3:00-6:00pm.
