Obituary of Frank Douglas Overholt
A Pillar of Strength
How do you say goodbye to someone who has been a pillar of strength for your entire life? On July 18, 2024, we lost an incredible father, grandfather and great-grandfather whom provided love, support and guidance to his family throughout his life.
Frank, was a lifetime farmer who loved what he did and did what he loved. Frank worked side by side with his son, Doug farming Overholt Orchards. He was a wealth of information when it came to farming and it was rare to find he didn’t have the answer to any question.
Frank will be remembered travelling between the farms on his tractor or gator monitoring the fruit.
He will be deeply missed by his family, devoted husband to Pat, Father to Doug (Carol) Overholt, Charlene (Norm) Uhde, Jamie Bird (Rich Tasane), Melissa Mackenzie; grandchildren, Cam Overholt, Ali Overholt (Jake Hayward), Lola (Joshua) Graham, Jesse (Chelsea) Uhde, Jourdan Bird, Meredith (Ben) Wilson and five great-grandchildren.
Please remember Frank by planting a tree, enjoying a delicious peach or fruit and supporting local farmers.
In keeping with Frank’s wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. Cremation has taken place and a private ceremony will be held at a later date.
