The Tarrant Family of Lawn, Newfoundland wish to announce the peaceful passing of their eldest sister Daphne Frances on January 17, 2024.
Leaving behind with precious memories are siblings Lillian Underhill, Niagara Falls, Eva Rees (Gerry) of Houston, BC, Brian Tarrant Carmenville, NL, Vicki Kettle (Tyrone) Houston, BC, Dolores Murphy (Gerald) St. Johns NL, Geoffrey Tarrant St johns, Carola Tarrant St Catharines , On, Quinton Tarrant St johns , Theo Tarrant, Conception Bay, Daren Tarrant (Roz) Foxtrap, Conception Bay, Pascale Foster of Central Blissville NB & sister- in- law Sylvia Tarrant of Saint john, NB
She is predeceased by her parents Benjamin 1927-2018 and Frances Tarrant (nee Murphy) July 25,1928 – Sept 23, 1994, brothers, Nicholas 1949 -2022, Benjamin ( junior) 1953-2022, Two sisters Virginia and Thelma, our two little angels. Sisters in law Loretta, Jennifer, Heather and brother- in- law Brent.
Daphne work for many years at Canada Revenue after retirement worked in the tourist Industry in Niagara Falls. She faithfully watched her favorite TV game shows ‘Wheel of Fortune’ and’ Jeopardy’ and she usually got all of the answers right! She enjoyed spending time at the local Casino where she played slots and ate at the buffet and went to many live shows, always inviting someone to go with her. It was always a great time to be had.
Daphne will sorely missed by her sister Lillian who were very close and her special nephew Jacey. She will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and her best friend Elaine and Nancy.
She will be remembered fondly for her sense of humor, her kindness, her mothering ways,
Rest in Peace until we meet again Love you Sister
As she said in her words ‘BEAM ME UP” I’m Done!
