Richard Peelar Obituary
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Michael Peelar on Thursday April 11, 2024. He is the much loved husband of Judith Peelar and father of Ivan (Janelle), treasured grandfather to Andon and Julia Gatti. Dear brother to Linda (Ken) Denholm of Nova Scotia, Teresa of Alberta (Gary Ivey -predeceased), Gayle (Andy) Boyce of New Hamburg, and Kim Slote of Brantford. He will be sadly missed by many nieces,nephews, friends and his beloved dog “Maggie”.
Rick loved the outdoors, he was an avid fisherman, hunter and gun collector over the years. He was a hard worker. Rick built and repaired farm equipment and made his own trailers. Rick had a big heart and enjoyed helping others.
We would like to give a heartfelt thanks to Rick’s caregivers, nurses, East Parry Sound Community Support Services, the friends and neighbours who have helped us throughout the years.
In keeping with Rick’s wishes cremation has taken place.
If so desired, memorial donations to the Children’s Wish Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
