Obituary of Dorothy Jean Hannah

April 24th, 1936 – August 11th, 2024
Dorothy passed away in the Perth hospital on Sunday August 11th, 2024 in her 91st year. She was the daughter of the late John and Anne (McIntosh) Stewart. Dorothy was the beloved wife of Westley Hannah for seventy-one years, devoted and respected mother of Rick and his wife Barb. She was a dear sister of Betty Vanden Bosch, Ralph and wife Janet (Bingley), Sylvia and husband Wayne McNamee. Dorothy was a proud grandmother to Sarah (Jason) Cordick, Jessica (Graham) Halsall, Chelsea (Yves Struthers) and a loving great-mother to Logan, Henry, Noah and Felix. Dorothy was predeceased by her son, Steve, her brother Jack and his wife Joyce, brother-in-law Stan Vanden Bosch, by Westley’s siblings and spouses Christina (Bill) McIntyre, Rod (Hilda) Olive (Elwood Gray and Allan Campbell), Charlie (Lena), Dan (Verna). She will be remembered by many nieces and nephews, friends at the First Baptist Church, Perth Keen-Agers and the Tay Gardens apartment building. She will be missed by all those who she crossed paths with.
Family and friends will gather for a service to honour her life at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W., Perth on Tuesday August 20th, 2024 at 1:30 P.M. A reception and Celebration of Her Life in the Family Centre will follow until 4:00 P.M.

Special thanks as well to Anne and Liz for their extra care allowing her to stay in her apartment.
