Hughes, Amy Aileen (nee Munro)
Amy passed away in the Perth hospital on Sunday, September 8th, 2024 in her 100th year. She was predeceased by her parents William and Alice (Armstrong) Munro and her dear husband James Hughes, her brother Stuart Munro and sisters Laura Poole, Edna Ritchie and Hilda Hinge.
Amy was the loving mother to sons Alan (Heather), Harry (Cindy) and daughter Donna (Bill) Makahnouk and grandmother of 6 and great grandmother of 9.
She will be sadly missed by her siblings Arthur (Susan) Munro, Ethel Clark, Irene Hawley and Alan (Maxeen) Munro, sister-in-law Eleanor Munro, many nieces, nephews, all her extended relatives and friends.
Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. West, Perth on Sunday, September 15th, 2024 from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held in Bethel United Church, Rideau Ferry on Monday September 16th, 2024 at 10:30 A.M. Interment Rideau Ferry Cemetery. In remembrance of Amy, those wishing are asked to consider memorial donations to Bethel United Church or the MRI Campaign of the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital.
