Peacefully, on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Lambton Meadowview Villa, James Wallace Sedgeworth passed away at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Sharon Sedgeworth (nee Nordell). Loving father of Pamela Sedgeworth (Blain Britton), Catherine (Harvey) Garraway and Neil Sedgeworth; and Sharon’s sons Scott (Kelsey) McCord and Brad McCord. Cherished grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 5, and Sharon’s granddaughter Maya. Predeceased by his daughter Allison Hannah, parents William and Catherine Sedgeworth and brother George Sedgeworth. James was born and raised in Bellshill, Scotland. After immigrating to Canada, he began his career at Colt Engineering (Worley Parsons). James and Sharon loved travelling together. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Point Edward Presbyterian Church, 306 Michigan Ave, Point Edward, ON, on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Alzheimer’s Society of Sarnia-Lambton or Point Edward Presbyterian Church (cheques only at the funeral home please).
