KOROSEC, RUDOLF “RUDY” PETER aged 64, passed away peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.
Devoted and beloved husband of Karen Cutaia. Rudy fell deeply in love with Karen and their relationship was a testament to the power of finding a soulmate with a bond that was genuine, profound, and filled with mutual respect, joy, and admiration.
His legacy of love and laughter lives on in the hearts of his entire family and close friends. Rudy is survived by his loving mother, Gertrude (nee Schmidt). He will be forever missed by his brother Anthony, and his sister Katherine Canapini (John), his niece Sophia and nephew Nicholas. His family finds peace knowing that he will be reunited in Heaven with his father, Rudy Sr.
He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his Cutaia family, who cherished his presence and the joy he brought into their lives: Leonora (mother-in-law), Richard (Diana), Ann Marie (Eric), Nicholas, Angelo (Karen), and Donna (Peter), his nieces and nephews, Cara, Alyssa (Garrett), Angela, Angelo III, Erica, Emily, Richard, Arleigh, Pietra, Anjelika, Kamilla, Nicholas Jr., Luke, Levi, and Avery and great niece Renlee.
Our family finds solace in the love and memories they created with Rudy, ensuring that his legacy and impact will live on through their stories.
Rudy was not only a beloved family member but also a source of strength, wisdom, and unwavering support.
Born on May 24, 1960, in Regina, Saskatchewan, Rudy was the eldest child of Rudy Sr. and Gertrude. He spent most of his life growing up in Waterdown, Ontario where he attended Waterdown District High School and earn a Bachelor of Economics degree from McMaster University.
Rudy’s warmth, humour, and love for his family and friends enriched the lives of all who knew him. His passion for sports, particularly his beloved Boston Bruins, Dallas Cowboys, and the Saskatchewan Roughriders, where Rudy was born. His passion for all sports, his dedication to perfecting his golf game, and love for music and travel were testaments to his vibrant spirit and zest for life.
VISITATION will take place on Sunday, June 23, 2024, from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line, Burlington, Ont.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Rudy’s life will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2265 Headon Rd., Burlington, Ont., followed by an interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 600 Spring Gardens Road, Burlington, Ontario.
A special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Hamilton General Hospital 5N and Joseph Brant Hospital 7 South and 5 North for their care, compassion, kindness, and support.
