Marchand: Robert “Roger” –
Born in Chatham, Roger was the son of Joseph and Aurore (Authier) Marchand.
Brother to Rita and her late Husband Vince, predeceased by Liz, Norm, Shirley, Leona, sister in law Bernie and their predeceased spouses.
Survived by his Sister in Law Annette (Dave), Ruth and her late husband Ron, Dorothy and her late husband Dan.
Beloved Husband of Pauline in their 69th year.
Cherished by his Two Daughters, Karen (Gary) Ross of Chatham, ON, Charlene (Bob)Marchand-Corvaglia, and Son, Allen (Barb) Marchand, and the late daughter Audrey Ann.
Pipi will be greatly missed by his Grandchildren, Brian, Bill (Jess), Courtney (Mitch), Brittany (Cory), Avery (Chase), Allix, Remi, Nikk and the late Joel Marchand.
Forever in the hearts of his Great Grandchildren, Alice, Walker, Layla, Aurora, Benny, Cameron, Brooklyn, Wynter and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
In their 69 years together, Pauline and Roger spent many winters traveling to Florida; enjoying their time together at the trailer. Spending weekends creating memories locally with their Jamboree friends, enjoying happy hour and listening to music. Forty two years pounding up the 401, driving for Inter City in the beginning and ending with TST. Roger Dodger was known from coast to coast like butter toast. Everybody has a story about Roger, he always left you with laughter and good memories while sharing a Bud Light.
As per Roger’s wishes, cremation will take place and A Celebration of Life in honour of Roger and Pauline will take place at:
Hidden Hills Golf and Country Club on Sunday, October 27th, 2024 from 1pm to 4pm. Everyone is welcome.
The family would like to say a very special “Thank You” for the compassionate care that was given to their father from the team at Riverview Gardens, 3 West.
Donations made in memory of Roger to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario or the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation would be appreciated.
