Obituary of John Micheal Nikitiuk, Sr.
Nikitiuk: John Micheal, Sr.-
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the age of 88. He was a resident of Chatham, Ontario.
Born in Windsor, ON, John was the son of Micheal (1961) and Stella (nee Gurniki) (1977) Nikitiuk.
Beloved husband of the late Irene (Thibert) (1992) and Linda Nikitiuk (2012).
John was a wonderful father to his children, John (Pam), Stephen and Tina Juodikis (Jay).
Proud Papa/Grandpa to 15 grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
Loving stepfather to Marilynn, Greg (2017), Lana, Isla, Dean, Petrina and Paul.
John was a Master Baker and his delicious creations were enjoyed by many. He baked awesome cakes for most of his families’ special occasions.
John was happiest being outside and hosting parties for his family and many friends at his home.
He had a wonderful sense of humour which he never lost. He will be greatly missed.
As per John’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Private family interment will be held at Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Windsor at a later date.
Donations made in memory of John to the Canadian Council of the Blind would be appreciated by the family.
